Author: Hanna Dale
Genres: Adult Contemporary Romance
Tropes: Single Parent
Release Date: 26 November 2019
For single mom Tristan Maddox, moving to the small town of Broward, Georgia is the opportunity she needs to provide her daughter with a better life. A bigger house where they can each have their own bedroom, a backyard to play in, a place where they can put down roots and be part of a community, are all part of the reason she chose Broward as their new home. Nowhere on that list was her sexy next door neighbor, Owen, his adorably affable dog, Huck, or his crazy family.
Owen Gallahanger is perfectly content with his life the way it is. He has a job he loves, a family that he can count on, even if they drive him crazy most of the time, and his loyal sidekick, Huck. He isn’t looking for anything more, but after meeting Tristan and her daughter, he quickly realizes exactly what he is missing.
But not everyone is happy that Tristan is in Broward. As an unknown threat continues to escalate, Owen has to fight to protect the woman he loves, and their future together, or risk losing everything.

I went into this book believing it would be another single parent romance, but it was wrong. The book was so much more. I’ve seen many 3-star reviews, but I couldn’t give it less than 5 stars; I liked it too much! This was my first book from the author.
Tristan moved from DC with her 3 years old daughter Stella. This move is supposed to be their fresh start and an opportunity for Tristan to give her little girl a better life. What she didn’t anticipated was Owen Callahanger, her next-door neighbor. Owen is the chief of police. From the first time he saw Tristan, he knew that she was it for him. What’s difficult is that he has to make her believe as well. After all, the Callahanger men always know when they find their soulmates.
The legend had been given the name mo chuisle mo chori, which roughly translated my pulse of my heart
Owen and Tristan’s relationship has some ups and downs. They start off strong and too fast for Tristan’s liking. Because of her childhood, she’s afraid to give in to someone all the way. Thankfully for Owen, the whole Callahanger bunch is ready to help him get his girls. Stella is my favorite character. She just makes the story even better. I laughed with her antics and how she got everyone wrapped around her little fingers. The fact that she addressed everyone she loves as hers, made everything extra cute!!
I really enjoyed the story and the mystery attacks made it even more interesting. I can’t help but wonder what happened to the rest of the characters. I really need their stories too. Fingers crossed that there are more books coming!!!
