Title: Iced

Series: Boston Terriers Hockey #2, Standalone

Author: Jacob Chance

Genres: Sports Romance, Hockey

Release Date: 1 November 2019

Oliver Ice, one of Boston University’s notorious hockey players, has been on my radar since I slammed into his rock-hard body during my first week of college, three years ago. He helped me to my feet, muttered an apology, and ran off after his girlfriend, dashing my hopes of a happily ever after.

Now, he’s the bartender where I work, and this time, very much single. Night after night I watch the tall, broad, and sexy right winger mixing drinks and being Mr. Personality, while I remind myself how horribly my last relationship ended.

But when Oliver overhears a private conversation, he offers to be the one thing I need more than anything– my pretend boyfriend at a dreaded family reunion.

One weekend was all it was meant to be.

How do I protect my fragile heart when the lines between fantasy and reality blur with our first kiss?

I’m not familiar with Jacob Chance’s hockey series; I’ve only read a book is his Boston Terriers football series! I have to say that I liked this book as much as his football one and I’ll be checking out more books from the author for sure!

Oliver is definitely my new book boyfriend! In most of the sport romance books, the male lead is a player and sometimes a manwhore too. Oliver is the opposite. He’s so cute and considerate. He’s not afraid to express his emotion and give Ava his all. There wasn’t a time in the book that I was frustrated with him, or Ava for that matter! I liked how their relationship started as a friendship, then fake dating and finally real! The chemistry between them is palpable and flows into the pages, sucking you into the story with them!!

Jacob Chance really knows how to write lovable characters! What kept me from giving the book 5 stars was the rushed storyline at times and the fact that I wanted more chapters with these beautiful characters. All in all, I urge you to give this book a try and trust me you’ll fall in love with Oliver as well 🥰
