#BookReview Faith (SEAL’ed #5) by Andi Jaxon and AJ Alexander

Title: Faith

Series: SEAL’ed #5, Standalone

Authors: Andi Jaxon, AJ Alexander

Genre: Military Romance

Release Date: 12 December 2018

I originally joined the Navy as an escape, to become more than a country farm boy. Being a Navy SEAL turned me into a man, but one without a life outside the military. I thought that was all I needed. Until everyone around began to find their Happily Ever Afters’. I realized my life was missing love, something I’ve been longing for. All it took was one simple letter from home to remind me that everything I ever needed was right there waiting for me.

Losing the love of your life before he was able to meet his child was the hardest thing I’d ever gone through. I tried to move on with my life, and find a new sense of normalcy with my daughter and myself. One simple holiday act of kindness has set my carefully choreographed life into a tailspin. I could never have guessed writing a simple letter to a deployed sailor would bring us to a place we can finally call ‘Home’ again.

Can these two trust in the things they can not see to find true happiness?

**While Faith can be read as a standalone, it is best enjoyed after reading Honor, Love, Fate, and Power.**

When Justin aka JT made his appearances in the previous books, he pretty much kept to himself. I was so excited to read his story, and let me tell you that the book didn’t disappoint! This is definitely my favorite one in the SEAL’ed series!

Becca and Justin get to know each other through a pen pal program for soldiers that are overseas. He’s randomly peaked for her, even though fate definitely has its hand on this one!

Becca is a single mother, that lost her husband in the war after she found out that she was pregnant. After that she decided to move from Texas to California, in order to find herself and again and learn how to survive on her own. Her daughter, Olivia, is the sweetest kid! I loved her from the first time she made her appearance in the story! She made me laugh in more than one occasions and managed to still the hearts of everyone that get to know her!

Justin is finding difficult to live with his loneliness anymore. After each of the others found their significant other, he feels even more alone than before. Becca’s first letter comes as a beautiful surprise and gives him the escape he truly needs!

Since this book doesn’t have that much sex scenes, like the previous ones, I was able to actually see the connection between Becca and Justin. They get to know each other and open up to each other through the letters and emails they exchange. I felt the constant emotion building between them and actually felt their fears too.

The epilogue was truly beautiful and left me so sad to see this story ending! It’s a truly amazing book that I totally recommend 😍

Raised in California, I’m a crunchy mom, save the whales and the rain forests, hippy. I married a sexy man in uniform who let me spawn and am now raising a mutinous army of hell raisers that I created myself, all while he defends our country. I drink too much coffee until it’s late enough to drink too much wine and am sexually frustrated for your freedom. If you see me online, I’m probably sitting in a closet, hiding from my kids.
