It was a tryst.
A sin swallowed down by desire.
That’s what I tell myself.
But my body isn’t the only part that
aches for him now.
I sold my soul.
Now my heart is a slave to the devil.
He unveiled the taboo,
illuminating my lie
and unexpectedly stole my heart.
But I walked away.
Lust is my religion.
She became my sanctuary.
If it’s forgiveness she seeks
the price just doubled.
And she’ll pay it bound at my feet.
I gave her pain for pleasure.
Now I’ll make her beg me for more.

So the blurb of this book didn’t really prepare me for the story. However the book is amazing and one of my favorites for the month 😍
At first I thought that Nick, the guy Drew met in the prologue, would be our male lead and I was seriously sad. I despised him from the first page and I was so frustrated with Drew for not seeing the warning flags. I was so mad at him for how he treated her. I mean what kind of human being feels powerful with belittling others; this is messed up. He’s judgmental, manipulative and too controlling.
Needless to say I was so excited when Drew met Dominic King. He’s sexy and dark and wrapped in a sinful body that oozes sex appeal. He’s truly mesmerized by her. Their chemistry is explosive and I actually thought that my reader would catch on fire 😅
Their relationship kind of ends before it starts. Even though what went down hurt both of them, I truly believe that it was for the best!
The author wrote an amazing book. The ending was beautiful. I’m looking forward to reading more of these characters 😍
