Buddy Read with Guest Review: Origin (Lux #4) by Jennifer L. Armentrout (@JLArmentrout)

Hello everyone!

My buddy reading with Jamsu is continuing with the fourth book in the Lux series, Origin! I decided that this one is my favorite from the series!!

Instead of posting our reviews for the book on our blogs, we thought that it would be nice to exchange reviews and post each other’s review, so the review you’ ll find below is Jamsu’s and mine is posted on her blog!

Title: Origin

Series: Lux #4

Author: Jennifer L. Armentrout

Publisher: Entangled Teen

Genres: Paranormal Romance, Aliens

Release Date: 27 August 2013

Daemon will do anything to get Katy back.

After the successful but disastrous raid on Mount Weather, he’s facing the impossible. Katy is gone. Taken. Everything becomes about finding her. Taking out anyone who stands in his way? Done. Burning down the whole world to save her? Gladly. Exposing his alien race to the world? With pleasure.

All Katy can do is survive.

Surrounded by enemies, the only way she can come out of this is to adapt. After all, there are sides of Daedalus that don’t seem entirely crazy, but the group’s goals are frightening and the truths they speak even more disturbing. Who are the real bad guys? Daedalus? Mankind? Or the Luxen?

Together, they can face anything.

But the most dangerous foe has been there all along, and when the truths are exposed and the lies come crumbling down, which side will Daemon and Katy be standing on?

And will they even be together?

5 Stars

This one was my favorite book of the series and I don’t think the last book is able to be better.

Daemon’s ready to do anything and everything to save Katy and she was just happy that he was safe. I love that Daemon finds everything Katy does sexy.

I’m glad that Armentrout didn’t try to redeem Blake. I don’t understand when writers write some characters that are bad for the most books but then they save someone and suddenly they’re heroes.

I’m just disgusted with these humans in Daedalus. They seriously were proud about giving living beings AIDS? I just can’t even with them. Lux and Arum have war going on between them but I think the real villain is Daedalus.

Luc’s so cute in this book and it made me even more exited to read his book. We got to see his kick ass mafialike character in earlier books but he used words like “Adorkable” and seemed so happy to wear the same shirt as Katy.

I found the last fighting scene boring. Few characters even died but like I didn’t care for them? The whole book was just amazing and then I just wanted the fighting scene to be over while I was reading it.
