SYNOPSIS

Being connected to Daemon Black sucks…

Thanks to his alien mojo, Daemon’s determined to prove what he feels for me is more than a product of our bizarro connection. So I’ve sworn him off, even though he’s running more hot than cold these days. But we’ve got bigger problems.

Something worse than the Arum has come to town…

The Department of Defense are here. If they ever find out what Daemon can do and that we’re linked, I’m a goner. So is he. And there’s this new boy in school who’s got a secret of his own. He knows what’s happened to me and he can help, but to do so, I have to lie to Daemon and stay away from him. Like that’s possible. Against all common sense, I’m falling for Daemon. Hard.

But then everything changes…

I’ve seen someone who shouldn’t be alive. And I have to tell Daemon, even though I know he’s never going to stop searching until he gets the truth. What happened to his brother? Who betrayed him? And what does the DOD want from them—from me?

No one is who they seem. And not everyone will survive the lies…

JAMSU’S REVIEW

3 Stars

This was my second buddy read with Demi. We read book one together. You can read her review here and mine here. I’m enjoying rereading this series so much. There are things I still remember from the first time around and some things still surprise me.

I love how overprotective Daemon was of Katy in this book! *hearteyes*. I loved all the scenes with Daemon and Katy but one of my favorite scenes were actually between Katy and Matthew. That one scene actually made me have tears in my eyes.

I had some problems with this book: mostly with this new character Blake and the guy Katy’s mom was dating creeped me out. I don’t even understand why Katy was trying to date Blake. She was obviously still hang up on with Daemon. One thing I did like about Blake was that he was helping Katy and that he made Buffy reference which is my all time favorite show.

I didn’t really like Dee in this one. It might be because we have no idea what was going in her head but that she made Katy go to the movies with Ash was pretty mean. She knows how Katy feels about Ash.

I just had too much problems with this book to give it higher rating. I think I only gave this five stars last time because how things ended with Katy and Daemon.

      1. Του έκανε τη δύσκολη σχεδόν σε όλο το βιβλίο. Εγώ θα είχα λυγίσει από την αρχή. 😛
