Life is about choices and for Shay, she’s chosen wrong every single time.
Shay has spent the past year reconstructing her life. She spent a year in prison, began a twelve step program, and wants to be the person she was meant to.
After being spurned by her former best friend Mandy, Shay is kidnapped off the street and thrown into a world of assassins, crime, and lost loves.
You never know what to expect when you are Running Scared.
This is Shay’s book. If you have read “Special Delivery”, then you don’t have the best opinion about her. Trust me, I didn’t too, but this book changed my mind.
Shay has been through drug addiction and a year in prison and now she’s trying to make amends with all the people she hurt. However, she finds herself kidnapped by a man she used to know, Will. He went to the same high-school as her and used to follow her around. Now Will is not the same boy; he’s sexy as hell and a hitman!
This was a really interesting book, both sexy and sweet. I loved how Will changed from cold to sweet and caring when he was with Shay! Gina and Marco’s story was a nice addition and I really liked both of them. The ending was perfect and I was really happy that everyone got their happily-ever-after!!
There is hope, and when you feel at your darkest point, completely alone, remember that I believe in you. I don’t need to know your name or your situation to know that somewhere inside of you is the person you were meant to be” -Shay
