Title: Just Exes
Series: Blue Beech #3, Standalone
Author: Charity Ferrell
Genre: New Adult Romance
Release Date: 30 August 2018
Running into an ex you haven’t seen in nearly a decade is never a good time.
Running into your ex while he’s arresting you is humiliating.
The handcuffs close around my fists at the same time he promises to hate me until he takes his last breath.
I can’t blame him. He pleaded for me not to walk away. He doesn’t know leaving him broke my heart as much as it did his.
It wasn’t for me. Rather, it was for someone else.
I skipped town after Hurricane Lauren obliterated my heart.
Coming home was a hard choice to make. Arresting her isn’t.
She has no idea of the demons I carry with me now. No idea that I’m a new man.
Two women ruined me.
One I gave my heart to.
The other punished me for it.

After reading the blurb I couldn’t pass on this book. Even though I haven’t read the previous ones or any other book from the author, I loved it! I wish I’ve known of these books earlier!
Our heroine, Lauren, is the little sister of the male main characters from the previous books. This is a truly amazing second chance romance. We feel the sparks between Lauren and Gabe from the first time they meet again. Is hard to miss the history and chemistry between them!! Lauren is selfless; I really admired her determination and the sacrifices she makes for her loved ones. Gabe oozes sexiness and his presence is so commanding that you can’t ignore him! After all who doesn’t like a sexy man in uniform with a set of handcuffs hanging from his mouth?! He’s too tormented from the past; I really felt for him.
This story is not just sexy , it’s also deep and full of emotions. The author really knows how to write an excellent second chance romance and gives you all the feels!! I’m definitely going to look out for her books from now on!!
